Junior goaltender Alex Heger of the lacrosse team has been tabbed the Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 28, 2018. In helping guide the Colonials to a 12-9 upset road victory over No. 16 Penn State (2/24), Heger recorded a season-high 14 saves, including several in the third and fourth quarters before Robert Morris took control with a 4-0 run. Heger, a native of Carmel, Ind., ranks fourth in the Northeast Conference in the early portion of the 2018 campaign with an average of 10.00 saves per game while ranking fifth in goals against average (9.75).
