Sophomore forward David Friedmann of the ice hockey team grabs the Higher Images RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week accolade for Jan. 29, 2014, after helping lead the Colonials to a sweep of Air Force at the RMU Island Sports Center last weekend. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Friedmann scored a goal on the power play at the 4:39 mark of the third period, which proved to be the game winner in a 3-1 victory in the first game of the series. He added a goal and an assist the next night in a 5-3 victory, and when he lit the lamp at 11:41 in the second period, the marker again proved to be the game-winning goal. Robert Morris has posted a 6-1-1 record since the calendar has switched to 2014, and on the season Friedmann has supplied the Colonials with seven goals and six assists for 13 points.Â
