Garnering his second Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week nod of the 2018 spring campaign is redshirt junior attack Matt Schmidt of the lacrosse team. In a 14-5 victory over Cleveland State (4/14) at Joe Walton Stadium, Schmidt paced the offensive attack with three goals and an assist. He recorded a natural hat trick, helping the Colonials turn a 2-1 deficit in the first quarter into a 4-2 advantage at the 13:40 mark of the second quarter. He added an assist in the third quarter that gave Robert Morris a 10-3 lead. In 12 games in 2018, Schmidt leads the Colonials in scoring with 39 points thanks to a team-high 28 goals and 11 assists.
