Two weeks after breaking an outdoor school record that had stood for almost 20 years, freshman Hannah Claus did it again. For those efforts, she has been selected as the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for April 25, 2018. At the JMU Invitational last weekend, Claus posted a time of 56.63 seconds in the 400-meter dash to earn bronze. The time broke the old record of 57.41, which was set exactly 20 years again today at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational by former Robert Morris standout Tiphani McKee. Claus, a native of Ardooie, Belgium, ranks fourth in both the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes in the Northeast Conference as the 2018 NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships are set to take place Saturday, May 5, and Sunday, May 6.
