Garnering the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for May 2, 2018, is Shannon Lynch of the lacrosse team. It marks the second honor of the spring season for the junior from Pittsburgh, Pa., as she was also bestowed the honor March 21, 2018. In a pair of home victories at Joe Walton Stadium that helped Robert Morris secure a berth in the 2018 Northeast Conference Tournament, Lynch scored 15 points, finishing with four goals and 11 assists in wins over Sacred Heart (4/27) and LIU Brooklyn (4/29). She finished with three goals and three assists in a 21-5 victory over the Pioneers, then contributed a goal and an RMU single-game record eight helpers in an 18-8 win over the Blackbirds. In 16 games this season, Lynch owns a team-high 46 points, an average of 2.88 per game that ranks eighth in the NEC. She leads the Colonials in both goals (23) and assists (23).
