Garnering one of two Peoples Natural Gas RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the first time in the 2018-18 academic year is sophomore goalkeeper Sydney Bruckner. A native of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Bruckner helped lead the Colonials to a 1-1 mark on opening weekend. She produced her seventh career clean sheet in the 2018 season opener, a 1-0 victory @ UMBC (8/17). She notched seven saves against the Retrievers. Two days later in a 1-0 overtime setback to Ohio (8/19) at the North Athletic Complex, Bruckner recorded nine saves. For her efforts, Bruckner was tabbed the first Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week (8/20) of the 2018 campaign.
