Redshirt senior goalkeeper Winter Fondi of the soccer team is the recipient of the Peoples Natural Gas RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for August 29, 2018. He is the first male honoree of the 2018-19 academic year. In RMU’s first road game of the 2018 season, Fondi posted six saves to help preserve a scoreless draw @ St. Bonaventure (8/26). It marked the seventh career shutout for the Leetsdale, Pa., native. In two games during opening weekend, Fondi recorded 14 saves, an .824 save percentage and a 1.41 goals against average.
