Earning the first Peoples Natural Gas RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week nod for the winter sports of 2018-19 is sophomore defender Emily Curlett of the hockey squad, who garners the honor for Oct. 3, 2018. In a split with St. Lawrence at the RMU Island Sports Center on Neville Island last weekend, Curlett helped the Colonials earn the split by scoring a goal and blocking six shots in a 3-2 overtime victory in the second game of the series. She lit the lamp at 12:05 in the second period, which helped the tie the game, 2-2. Curlett, a native of Lapeer, Mich., also posted a +1 rating during the contest.
