Earning his second Peoples Natural Gas RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the last three weeks is freshman running back Alijah Jackson of the football team. Against Central Connecticut (10/6) at Joe Walton Stadium as part of the University’s Homecoming festivities, Jackson rushed 16 times for 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns. It marked his second consecutive 100-yard rushing contest against a Northeast Conference opponent.  Jackson, a native of Paramus, N.J., scored on a 13-yard touchdown run with 4:37 to play in the first quarter that tied the score, 14-14. In the first score of the second half, Jackson galloped 35 yards to paydirt to help the Colonials trim their deficit to 35-28. For his efforts against the Blue Devils, Jackson was named the NEC Rookie of the Week. In five games this season, Jackson has rushed 79 times for 388 yards and four touchdowns, an average of 4.7 yards per carry.
