Named the Peoples Natural Gas RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 10, 2018, is junior forward Jaycee Gebhard of the hockey team. In a pair of road games against the No. 1 team in the country last weekend, Gebhard tallied a goal and an assist in each of the two games against Clarkson. In the first game of the series, she assisted on the opening goal to give the Colonials a 1-0 lead, then scored at 12:15 of the third period to close RMU’s deficit to 3-2. The next day, Gebhard, a native of Plenty, Sakatchewan, almost helped the Colonials erase a three-goal deficit. She lit the lamp at 5:05 of the third period, then assisted on a power-play goal at 16:59 to help Robert Morris trim its deficit to 4-3. In the early portion of the 2018-19 campaign, Gebhard owns a team-high six points.
