Garnering one of two Peoples Natural Gas RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week nods for Nov. 21, 2018, is senior guard Josh Williams of the basketball team. In a pair of home victories last week in the program’s first two games at the North Athletic Complex, Williams averaged 31.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 58.8 percent (20-for-34) from the field, including 57.6 percent (19-for-33) from beyond the arc. Williams, a native of Akron, Ohio, tied an NCAA record with 15 three-pointers in a 104-57 victory over Mount Aloysius (11/14/18). Thanks to that performance, Williams established a new Robert Morris single-game scoring record with 49 points while tying single-game marks for field goals (16) and field goal attempts (26). For his efforts, Williams was tabbed the Northeast Conference Player of the Week (11/19/18) prior to an 81-72 victory @ Stetson that stretched the winning streak for the Colonials to three. In that contest Williams paced RMU with a game-high 18 points.
