Senior defenseman Eric Israel of the hockey team is the recipient of the Peoples Natural Gas RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 28, 2018. In a home-and-home sweep of Mercyhurst this past weekend, the Huntington Woods, Mich., native tallied a goal and two assists to help Robert Morris take home four points. Israel scored a key goal in a 3-1 victory at the RMU Island Sports Center to open the series, then assisted on a pair of power-play goals in a 7-1 road win to cap the sweep. For his efforts, Israel was named the Atlantic Hockey Defensive Player of the Week (11/27/18). In eight games this season, Israel leads all Atlantic Hockey defenseman with an average of 1.25 points per game courtesy of two goals and eight helpers.
