Earning the Peoples Natural Gas RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 20, 2019, is freshman Zoe Roush of the track & field squad. At the 2019 Northeast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships last weekend on Staten Island, N.Y., Roush was selected as the Co-NEC Rookie of the Meet. She claimed third in the long jump on the opening day of the championships, recording a distance of 5.66 meters (18’7”). It marks the second longest jump in program history. During the second day of the championships, Roush also cracked the top 10 in school history in the triple jump with a leap of 11.75 meters (38’6.75”). Roush, a native of South Fork, Pa., joins former distance performer Merel Van Steenbergen (2011) as the only student-athletes from Robert Morris to be named the NEC Rookie of the Meet for indoor track & field.
