Earning one of two Peoples Natural Gas RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week nods for Feb. 27, 2019, is junior center Nneka Ezeigbo of the basketball team. In a pair of victories last week that helped the Colonials claim at least a share of the 2019 Northeast Conference regular-season championship, Ezeigbo averaged 23.0 points and 10.0 rebounds while shooting 61.8 percent (21-for-34) from the field in wins over St. Francis Brooklyn and LIU Brooklyn. She posted 16 points and nine boards in a 74-57 victory over the Terriers at the North Athletic Complex, then exploded for a career-high 30 points and 11 caroms in a 71-54 triumph over the Blackbirds. She shot 13-for-20 from the floor against LIU Brooklyn and knocked down each of her four attempts at the free-throw line while also compiling a block and a steal. In 26 games for Robert Morris, each as a member of the starting lineup, Ezeigbo, a native of Ewing, N.J., has provided averages of 12.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest.
