Named the Peoples Natural Gas RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for March 6, 2019, is senior forward Alex Tonge of the hockey team. In a home-and-home sweep of Mercyhurst that helped the Colonials clinch home ice in the opening round of the 2019 Atlantic Hockey Tournament, Tonge finished with five points. He registered a hat trick in the opening game of the series, a 5-4 victory on the road. Included in that was the game-winning goal 34 seconds into overtime that sealed the win. The next night at home, Tonge, a native of Kingston, Ontario, recorded an assist in a 4-3 victory. In 33 games for Robert Morris in 2018-19, Tonge owns 17 goals, 17 assists and 34 points. He leads the Colonials in goals and points.
