Fresh off being named the Outstanding Senior Male at the 2019 RMU Athletics Award Ceremony, goalie Alex Heger of the lacrosse team is the recipient of the Peoples Natural Gas RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for April 17, 2019. In a 13-8 road victory over Cleveland State (4/13), Heger made 12 saves to help the Colonials record their fourth consecutive victory. For his efforts, Heger was selected as the Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week (4/15). On the 2019 campaign, Heger is averaging 12.58 saves per game, which ranks third in the NEC and is just outside the top 15 in NCAA Division I. His 625 career saves, an RMU record, is good enough to rank in the top four among active Division I keepers. Heger, a native of Carmel, Ind., has started all 12 games for Robert Morris and owns 151 saves.
