Sophomore midfielder Brittany Byerly earns the second consecutive Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor for the lacrosse team after earning Northeast Conference Offensive Player of the Week accolades (3/3/14). A native of Wexford, Pa., Byerly recorded five goals and an assist for six points in helping lead the Colonials to a pair of victories last week. In a 20-4 victory over Howard (3/1/14) at Joe Walton Stadium, Byerly finished with a pair of goals and an assist while also causing one turnover and recovering three ground balls. The following afternoon against Oregon, Byerly registered her second hat trick of the year in a 15-14 overtime victory while recording four ground balls and causing six turnovers. She also finished with five draw controls against the Ducks. In the early portion of the 2014 campaign, Byerly leads RMU in goals (8), ground balls (10) and caused turnovers (8).
