A pair of from the Robert Morris volleyball team are honored with the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week nod for Sept. 11, 2019. Junior middle blocker Emma Granger earns one of the accolades after taking home MVP honors at the Golden Flashes Classic in Kent, Ohio. Granger, a native of Dalton, Ohio, posted an attack percentage of .346 in the tournament, finishing with 36 kills and 23 blocks over the three matches. In a 3-1 win over Valparaiso (9/7), Granger posted a season-high 16 kills and also added nine blocks. She also led the way Tuesday night in a 3-0 sweep of Duquesne (9/10) at the UPMC Events Center by recording an attack percentage of .591 courtesy of 15 kills and just two errors in 22 total attempts. For her efforts in the Golden Flashes Classic, Granger was tabbed the Molten/Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week (9/9). As the Colonials have opened the 2019 with a school record 7-0 start, Granger owns team-high totals of 80 kills and a .347 attack percentage.
