Taking home her second Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the 2013-14 season is senior Yulia Vasilyeva of the indoor track & field team. A native of Volgograd, Russia, Vasilyeva earned All-East Coast accolades in a pair of events at the 2014 IC4A/ECAC Championships at the Boston University Track & Field Center in Boston, Mass., last weekend. Vasilyeva finished in the top five in a pair of events, including the triple and the high jump. In the triple jump she produced a leap of 12.24 meters to finish fifth while establishing a new school record in the event. In the high jump, Vasilyeva tied for fourth by clearing 1.68 meters, barely missing equaling her own school record in the event.Â
