Selected as the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 11, 2019, is sophomore guard Jalen Hawkins of the basketball team. In two games last week, Hawkins averaged 14.5 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 50 percent (12-for-24) from the field. In a road game @ Youngstown State (12/4/19), Hawkins paced the Colonials by establishing career highs in both points (17) and rebounds (7) against the Penguins. He helped RMU close out its three-game road trip with a victory by contributing 12 points and five rebounds in a 64-59 win @ Florida Gulf Coast (12/7/19). In 11 games, Hawkins, a native of Utica, N.Y., is providing Robert Morris with averages of 9.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while converting 45.1 percent (41-of-91) of his attempts from the field.
