Sophomore libero and defensive specialist Allena Carmody has been selected as the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 14, 2020. On the 2019 campaign, Carmody appeared in 29 matches, including four starts. She played in 102 sets and was one of five Colonials on the season to accumulate at least 200 digs, finishing the season with 201. Carmody, a native of Sewickley, Pa., also finished second for RMU in service aces with 38. An actuarial science major, Carmody posted a perfect 4.00 grade point average (GPA) in her rookie campaign helped RMU volleyball post a 3.894 team GPA during the 2019-20 academic year, the highest among all athletic programs in the Northeast Conference (NEC).
