Tabbed as one of two Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week winners for Dec. 30, 2020, is freshman guard Kam Farris of the basketball squad. Â In a road split last weekend with Purdue Fort Wayne in RMU's first two games as a member of the Horizon League, Farris averaged 12.5 points while knocking down 69.2 percent (9-for-13) of his shots from the field, including a 7-for-11 (63.6%) performance from downtown. In his first collegiate start, a 102-88 win over the Mastodons, Farris was perfect from the field in scoring a career-high 17 points. He went 6-for-6 from the field, including 5-for-5 from beyond the arc, in 19 minutes in the first of a two-game set at Purdue Fort Wayne, becoming the third RMU student-athlete in program history to produce a perfect shooting night on the road. On the 2020-21 season, Farris, a native of Burlington, Vt., and a sport management major, is averaging 9.3 points and has converted 57.1 percent (8-for-14) of his shots from the three-point line.
