Senior forward Lexi Templeman of the hockey team has been picked as the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 3, 2021. In a two-game sweep of RIT last weekend at Clearview Arena at the RMU Island Sports Center, Templeman racked up four points, including her first career hat trick in a 7-0 victory in game two of the series. Templeman, a native of Staffa, Ontario, and team captain for 2020-21, registered a natural hat trick in the first period, scoring at 4:49, 7:28 and 13:52 to give the Colonials an early 3-0 lead. She also won 31 of 36 opportunities in faceoffs during the two-game set. So far on the 2020-21 season, Templeman, an accounting major who has maintained a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA), owns five goals and three assists for eight points.
