Sophomore midfielder Jessica Karwacki of the lacrosse team earns the Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week accolade for April 16, 2014, after breaking her own NCAA single-season record last week for draw controls. In a 17-9 setback at Bryant (4/11/14), Karwacki finished with 17 draw controls and added seven more in a 9-8 win @ Central Connecticut State (4/13/14) to push her season total to 169. The total broke her own mark of 152 that she established as a freshman in 2013. On the 2014 campaign, Karwacki leads NCAA Division I with an average of 13.00 draw controls per game and in two seasons has already compiled 321, a Robert Morris career mark. She has also added 16 goals and three assists for 19 points on the 2014 season, including two goals and an assist in RMU’s win over the Blue Devils.
