Freshman midfielder Bryan Akongo of the soccer team has been selected as the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Sept. 15, 2021. He joins redshirt sophomore linebacker Jamar Shegog of the football team in earning the accolade. Akongo, a native of London, England, helped the Colonials taste victory in their 2021 Horizon League opener, a 1-0 victory @ defending regular-season champion Northern Kentucky (9/11). Akongo scored his first career NCAA goal at 39:51, beating NKU goalie Daniel Bermingham on his third shot of the first half.
