Fifth-year middle blocker Emma Granger of the volleyball squad has been named the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 17, 2021. In a three-match homestand at the UPMC Events Center that concluded the 2021 season for the Colonials, Granger finished with 20 kills, seven services aces and 18 total blocks in scoring a team-high 36.5 points in the three matches. Thanks to the performance, Granger concluded her career with the Colonials with totals of 1,262 kills, 242 service aces and 505 blocks. The first RMU student-athlete in program history to eclipse career totals of 1,000 kills and 500 blocks, Granger, a native of Dalton, Ohio, owns the RMU career record for service aces, block assists (431) and total blocks. A psychology major, Granger owns a cumulative grade point average of 3.77 and earned 2021 Horizon League All-Academic Honorable Mention accolades.
