Earning his second consecutive Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor is redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Ricardo Watson of the football team. In a vote of Big South head coaches and media members, Watson, a native of Tampa, Fla., earned a spot on the 2021 All-Big South Second Team Tuesday. He finished the 2021 campaign with 36 tackles, including 26 solo takedowns, while pacing the Colonials in tackles for loss (11) and sacks (7.5). Watson also posted a forced fumble, two quarterback hurries and an interception during the season. He picked up his last sack of the season in a 20-17 overtime win over Campbell (11/20) at Joe Walton Stadium and during his two-year career at RMU, Watson has posted eight and-a-half sacks. He is a sport management major.
