Fifth-year Madison Griffin of the lacrosse team is one of two to take home the Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for March 30, 2022. In a pair of games last week, Griffin, a native of Ellicott City, Md., racked up 11 ground balls, 10 draw controls and eight caused turnovers. She established season highs in both ground balls (8) and caused turnovers (6) against Cincinnati (3/27) at Joe Walton Stadium while posting her second highest total of the 2022 campaign in draw controls (6) in an 18-7 win @ Youngstown State (3/23) that helped the Colonials improve to 5-0 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). For her efforts, Griffin earned her second consecutive MAC Defensive Player of the Week accolade. Overall on the 2022 season, Griffin leads RMU in caused turnovers (25) and ground balls (36) while ranking second in draw controls (62).
