Sophomore Skyler Vavro of the cross country team has been selected as the Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 5, 2022. At the 21st annual Live in Lou Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Ky., at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park, Vavro, a native of Butler, Pa., bolstered the Colonials to a finish of third place in the silver competition by finishing seventh individually. In a field that featured 45 teams and over 400 competitors, Vavro navigated the eight-kilometer course in a time of 25:28.9, which shaved almost two minutes off his personal best.
