Junior defender Kelvin Ramirez of the soccer squad has been tabbed the Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 9, 2022. Ramirez helped the Colonials post an overall record of 6-7-3 (.469) during the 2022 campaign, including a 4-3-2 (.556) mark in the Horizon League, and qualify for the 2022 #HLMSOC Tournament. In 15 matches, all as a member of the starting lineup, Ramirez, a native of Toronto, Ontario, found the back of the net twice (on just three shots) and helped anchor an RMU backline that allowed just 16 goals, a scoring average of average per game of 1.07 that ranks second in the Horizon League. For his efforts, Ramirez earned a spot on the 2022 All-#HLMSOC Second Team. In addition, thanks to a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA) as a psychology major, Ramirez was named to the 2022 #HLMSOC All-Academic Team.
