Sophomore guard Rebecca Dwomoh of the basketball team has been selected as the Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 9, 2022. In a 49-36 victory over Saint Francis U (11/7/22) at the UPMC Events Center to open the 2022-23 campaign, Dwomoh, a native of London, England, tied for game-high honors with 14 points while also adding five assists, three steals and a block. Dwomoh knocked down six of her 11 attempts from the field, including a 2-for-3 performance from beyond the arc, and scored nine of her 14 points after halftime as RMU earned its first season-opening victory since a 69-52 victory over Point Park (11/11/16) at the Charles L. Sewall Center.
