Named the Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 23, 2022, is junior offensive lineman Hayden Baron of the football team. He shares the honor with fifth-year forward Kahliel Spear of basketball. In a vote of conference head coaches, Baron, a native of Perryopolis, Pa., earned a spot on the 2022 Big South All-Academic Team. Starting each of RMU’s 11 games during the 2022 at right guard and serving as the veteran presence of an offensive line that features three redshirt freshman and a sophomore, Baron has maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.82 as a cybersecurity major. He will enter the 2023 season have started each of his 24 career games dating back to the 2021 spring season.
