Named the Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 14, 2022, is sophomore forward Phoenix Gedeon of the basketball team. In a two-game road trip last weekend that saw the Colonials take on a pair of Big 12 programs on the road, Gedeon averaged 13.0 points and 5.0 rebounds against West Virginia and Oklahoma. She opened the week by pacing RMU against the Mountaineers by scoring 11 points before finishing with 15 points to tie for team-high honors against the Sooners. In 10 games for RMU during the 2022-23 season, each as a member of the starting lineup, Gedeon, a native of Montreal, Quebec, is pacing the Colonials in both scoring (13.4 ppg) and rebounding (7.5 rpg).
