One of two Colonials from the softball team to be tabbed Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for April 12, 2023, is junior Jane Garver. In a pair of starts last week, Garver finished 2-0 from the circle with a 1.62 earned run average and 16 strikeouts. In a 5-0 win over Northern Kentucky (4/8) at the North Athletic Complex, Garver matched a career high with 10 strikeouts and allowed just three hits in the complete game victory. She also struck out six in an 11-3 victory @ Youngstown State (4/11) that helped RMU earn a doubleheader split in Youngstown, Ohio. Overall during the 2023 campaign, Garver, a native of Ligonier, Pa., owns a 5-2 record with a 2.85 ERA and has struck out 48 in 54 innings.
