Opened in the fall of 1998 following the clearing of a 24-acre hilltop parcel, the North Athletic Complex (NAC) serves as the picturesque home of Robert Morris University softball. The current facility, which debuted in 2009, offers a classic collegiate atmosphere in the heart of the Moon Township campus.

Featuring professional-grade natural grass, sunken dugouts, a permanent outfield fence, and a high-definition scoreboard, the field is meticulously maintained to provide a premier playing surface for the Colonials. Due to the program's consistent success and the quality of the venue, the NAC Softball Field has also served as a premier postseason site, hosting the NEC Softball Championship in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2015.

The facility's location within the NAC corridor ensures student-athletes have seamless access to campus housing and the Student Recreation and Fitness Center. Admission and parking for all RMU softball events at the North Athletic Complex are free of charge.
