New Britain, Conn. ? The Robert Morris University volleyball team fell to Central Conn. State, 3-1 (27-30, 30-22, 25-30, 28-30), Saturday night. The loss drops the Colonials to 12-10 overall and 2-2 in NEC action.
Senior Emily Wolthuis (Byron Center, Mich. / South Christian) and freshman Amanda Graham (Melbourne, Fla. / Eau Gallie) led the offense with 13 kills each, while Cassie Lee (Vista, Calif. / Vista) finished with 12 kills. Wolthuis also tallied 20 digs, to complete her double-double, while Graham finished with nine total blocks.
Tawnya Storino (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Baldwin) tallied a double-double with 45 assists and 12 digs, while Jennifer Stambaugh (Union Bridge, Md. / Francis Scott Key) also finished with 12 digs. Alaina Gibson also finished with double digit digs with 17 and six service aces.
The Colonials return to action Sunday, Oct. 28 as they take on Quinnipiac at 1:00 p.m.
