The second set played out in a similar fashion as the first as LIU Brooklyn led wire-to-wire to take a command two-set lead heading into intermission.  Robert Morris fell behind early and could never recover as the Colonials dropped the second set, 25-13.  Thompson would do most of her damage in the second set when she recorded four of her six kills.

The third set was the best set of the match as it featured six lead changes before LIU Brooklyn prevailed, 26-24.  The Colonials took the early lead in the final stanza , but allowed the Blackbirds to battle back and control the middle portion of the set.  RMU regained the lead before allowing LIU Brooklyn to close out the set and the match to end the Colonials' season.  April Krivoniak (Greensburg, Pa. / Greater Latrobe) paced the third set offense with three kills as six different Colonials recorded a kill in the set.

Named to the All-NEC Second Team on Friday, freshman Arden Fisher (Oakmont, Pa. / Riverview) finished the match with six kills, an ace, a team-high 11 digs, and a pair of block assists.

Without a senior on the current roster, Robert Morris will return for the 2014 season with a more experienced squad as the Colonials will look to make it back to the NEC Tournament for a 16th consecutive season and fifth straight under head coach Dale Starr.
