Sewall Center Saturday afternoon.

Spanou had 26 points and 19 rebounds , her 21st consecutive double-double against conference teams. She Had 20 points and 13 rebounds by halftime and finished the game with five assists as well. Robert Morris fell behind early behind a high-paced Bryant offense that surged to a 14-7 lead when Jenniqua Bailey hit a short jumper with 14:18 to play in the opening half.

Neither team scored over the next two minutes before Spanou finished off a three-point play with 12:06 to go in the first frame. The Greek forward buried a three-pointer on the next possession as she kick-started a 38-12 run by RMU over the final 14 minutes of the first half. Spanou scored 20 points and Ravelli drilled three treys during the run. RMU went 15-23 from the floor, including 5-of-7 from downtown, while holding Bryant to just 5-of-17 during the same stretch. RMU scored 14 of the half's final 17 points to carry a 45-26 lead into the break.

Bryant would not go away, however. The Bulldogs came out of the half on a 10-3 run with Meredith Soper, who had 11 points in the game, bookending the surge with three-pointers. Freshman Cassie Oursler (Grand Island, N.Y. / Grand Island) quelled the run temporarily, but an old-fashioned three-point play by Bailey fueled an 11-2 Bulldogs answer. Bailey finished the game with 21 points, eight assists and four steals.

Robert Morris watched a 19-point halftime lead shrink to five points, 52-47, in just under seven minutes of second half action. Ravelli then hit consecutive baskets before Oursler sandwiched a lay-in between a pair of treys by freshman Rebecca Navarro (Galicia, Spain / Las Sieges Palmas) to push the lead back out to 14 points.

Bryant again cut the lead to five points, as Bailey twice beat the RMU defense down the floor for lay-ins. Spanou answered with back-to-back finger-rolls with under four minutes to play and the Bulldogs would get no closer than six points down the stretch.

In addition to Bailey's 21 points and Soper's 11 points, Naana Ankoma-Mensa finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Courtney Schissler had 14 points and Breanna Rucker chipped in 10 points.
