Canton, N.Y. – The
Robert Morris University women's hockey team suffered its second sweep of the season, falling to St. Lawrence University, 3-1, this afternoon from Appleton Arena.
St. Lawrence (3-2-1, 0-0-0 ECAC) outshot Robert Morris (2-6-0, 0-0-0 CHA), 32-16, and held a slight 25-24 edge in faceoffs.
After a scoreless first period, the Saints struck with a goal early in the second frame. SLU added a second tally at the 4:42 mark of the final stanza, then capitalized on a tripping penalty from senior assistant captain
Katelyn Scott to make it 3-0 with 6:36 remaining.

Robert Morris returns home next weekend as it continues non-conference play against Northeastern. Opening faceoff for Friday, Oct. 24's meeting between the Colonials and Huskies is set for 7:05 p.m. from 84 Lumber Arena.
