Against the Panthers - This will be Robert Morris' first meeting in its history with Milwaukee.
Scouting Milwaukee - The Panthers won the Horizon League regular season and tournament in 2013, finishing with a record of 12-2 in conference and 18-11 overall. Milwaukee fell in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Wisconsin in three sets (25-11, 25-14, 25-15) and lost the Horizon League Player of the Year Rachel Neuberger to graduation, but return the rest of its team. Senior outside hitter Julie Kolinske and junior setter Kayla Price made the All-Horizon League Team from a season ago.

Against the Redhawks - This will be Robert Morris' first meeting in its history with Miami (Ohio).
Scouting Miami (Ohio) - The Redhawks finished last season with an overall record of 12-16 and a mark of 4-12 in MAC play. Miami (Ohio) returns eight players from a season ago, including redshirt junior middle blocker Jenny Ingle, who led the team in kills (296), hitting percentage (.344), blocks (96), and points (354.0).

Robert Morris vs. North Dakota State (6-22, 6-8 Summit in 2014)

Against the Bison - Robert Morris is 0-2 in its history against North Dakota State. In 2004, the Bison defeated the Colonials in four sets (31-33, 30-23, 30-25, 30-25) at the Northern Colorado Tournament. RMU pushed NDSU to five sets (26-30, 30-25, 30-20, 22-30, 8-15) at the 2007 Duquesne / Robert Morris Invitational, but was ultimately defeated.
Scouting North Dakota State - The Bison fell in the first round of the Summit League Tournament in 2013, finishing with an overall record of 6-22. NDSU brings back 12 players from last season, including junior outside hitter Jenni Fassbender, who was the Bison's lone selection on the All-Summit League First Team.
Looking Ahead - Robert Morris opens up the home slate of its schedule on Labor Day with a match against West Virginia. The Colonials are 4-11 against the Mountaineers in their history, with their most recent win coming in 2012 at home in five sets (25-17, 25-17, 19-25, 18-25, 15-13). In that meeting, Lindsay Monger led the way with 20 kills and 22 digs, while
Erica Robb chipped in with 11 kills and 16 digs.

Senior Leadership - Robert Morris head coach
Dale Starr will be able to lean on a strong senior class in 2014, as his roster features seven fourth-year players. This senior class is the largest Starr has had during his tenure with the Colonials, surpassing the 2010 team which featured five seniors.

Go Fish - Sophomore outside hitter
Arden Fisher was the Colonials' lone selection on the All-NEC Second Team in 2013. In her rookie campaign, Fisher led RMU in kills (271) and points (318.5), and finished second on the team in digs (340). She also led the Colonials with nine double-doubles, which included a 27 dig, 14 kill effort at Murray State on September 13th, and a 35 assist, 10 dig performance against Fairleigh Dickinson on November 17th.
April Knows April - Sophomore middle blocker
April Krivoniak enjoyed a fine rookie season with 229 kills, 54 total blocks, and a .229 hitting percentage, but she might have been just as impressive in her other sport. As a thrower on the Robert Morris track & field team, Krivoniak finished third at the NEC Outdoor Championships in the shot put with a throw of 12.69 meters (41'7.75"), which earned herself All-NEC Rookie Team accolades.

A Historic Run - Robert Morris qualified for its 15th consecutive NEC Tournament last season, extending the conference's longest active streak. In each of those 15 seasons, the Colonials have posted a winning record in league play; the longest such streak of any NEC member, past or present. Over that timespan, RMU has gone 131-31 in conference play:

New Kids on the Block - Robert Morris welcomes two freshmen to the team this season in Michigan natives
Deja Tamlin and
Brianna Frakes. Tamlin, an outside hitter from Inkster, played her high school ball at Wayne Memorial, while Frakes, a setter from Clarkston, played at Clarkston High previously. The two rookies join senior
Erica Robb and sophomore
Madelyn Betts as current Colonials from The Great Lakes State.
