Moon Township, Pa. – The
Robert Morris University men's soccer team ended the non-conference portion of its 2015 schedule with a 3-0 win over Howard at North Athletic Complex Friday afternoon. The Colonials improve to 6-5 with the win while the Bison are still seeking their first victory at 0-10-1.

Lucas Puntillo both scored a goal and had an assist to finish with three points apiece.
Jared Latchford notched his first marker of the season while goalkeeper
Brenden Alfery stopped five shots to earn his third shutout.
Robert Morris got on the board in the 10th minute as a miscue by the Bison defense deep in their own end resulted in the Colonials first goal.
Jake Cooper forced the issue with pressure, stealing the ball and sending a short cross to the center of the field. Brett was on the receiving end and sent a shot off the keeper and in for his eighth goal of the season.
Just two minutes later, a throw-in deep in the offensive third by
Matt Fonagy found its way all the across the field to the left side of the Howard box.
Lucas Puntillo found himself in the right spot and sent a blast inside the left post to make it 2-0 for the Colonials.
The Colonials extended their lead to 3-0 in the 68th minute when
Lucas Puntillo sent a pass inside the Howard box along the left side. Brett collected it there, then sent a cross to the center of the box where
Jared Latchford was able to bury his first of the season.
Robert Morris begins Northeast Conference play next Friday, Oct. 9, when they host the Sacred Heart Pioneers in a 3:30 p.m. game at North Athletic Complex.
