Colonials Close Regular Season at Home

RMU hosts Bryant and CCSU in regular season finale; senior day Sunday

Moon Township, Pa.The regular season comes to a close at home this weekend for the Robert Morris University volleyball team as the Colonials host Bryant on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. and Central Connecticut State on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. in the Charles L. Sewall Center. Senior Kristin Thompson will be honored after her final regular-season match in the Sewall Center at the conclusion of Sunday's contest.
 
Robert Morris (15-12, 9-3) has won its last three consecutive outings as well as five of its last six. The Colonials set team season highs in kills and assists in a 3-2 road victory over Sacred Heart and posted a season-best 90 digs in a 3-1 win at Fairleigh Dickinson. Sophomore setter Brianna Frakes was named NEC Player of the Week after recording a career-high 54 assists and 14 digs against the Knights. She tallied 105 combined helpers on the weekend. Freshman Taylor Lord was named NEC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after she posted two double-doubles on the weekend.

The Colonials lead the Blue Devils in the all-time series, 15-7.
 
 
On A Roll
NEC Rookie of the Week Taylor Lord has recorded three double-doubles in her last four outings and has posted kills in double figures in the last four matches.
 
Fab Four
RMU saw four players post double-doubles in its win over FDU last weekend, the most in one match for the Colonials this season.
 
Raising the Bar
After recording a season-high 73 kills in a 3-2 win at Sacred Heart, RMU posted their second-highest output in a win at FDU the following day with 66. They also set a season-high in assists against the Pioneers with 65, then went on to record their second best effort of the season in their 3-1 victory at FDU with 63.
