Colonials Ready for First CHA Road Trip to RIT

Robert Morris hits the road for first time in conference action this season

Pittsburgh, Pa. – After splitting its College Hockey America opening weekend at home with Syracuse, the Robert Morris University women's hockey team faces its first conference road test of the season, when the Colonials travel to RIT for a two-game series on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 7 at 3 p.m.

The Colonials (5-4-1, 1-1-0) fell just short in a 4-3 OT loss to the Orange last weekend, but bounced back in Game 2 with a 2-0 shutout victory. Senior captain Ashley Vesci combined for three goals in two games, including the first shorthanded tally of the season in Saturday's win. Redshirt sophomore Brittany Howard posted the game-winner Saturday, her team-leading second of the year. Junior Mackenzie Johnston extended her four-game point streak with an assist in both games against the Orange.
