Moon Township, Pa. – The
Robert Morris University softball team's schedule for this weekend has been altered due to recent snow on the Charlotte campus.
The Colonials' two games scheduled at the Green & White Tournament for Friday, Feb. 27, have been canceled due to unplayable field conditions.
The event will still occur Saturday and Sunday albeit with both venue and schedule changes. All games of the tournament will now take place at the Cal Ripken Experience complex in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Every RMU contest of the weekend will take place on Navin Field (although two other games in the tournament will take place on an adjacent field).
Since the event is now two days instead of three, each of the four teams will play four games.
RMU will open play Saturday against Kent State at 2:00 p.m. before immediately following with a matchup against St. Bonaventure at 4:00 p.m. The Colonials will play back-to-back games with Charlotte Sunday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
