Moon Township, Pa. – The schedule for the Miami Invitational, in which the
Robert Morris University softball team is participating this weekend, was recently altered due to the forecast of heavy rain Friday.
The six-team tournament was initially scheduled for Friday, March 13, through Sunday, March 15. However, the event will now begin Thursday, March 12, with three games in the afternoon and evening. There are no longer any tournament games scheduled Friday.
RMU will now begin play in southwest Ohio Thursday against Detroit at 8:00 p.m. The Colonials are then scheduled to play Saturday against North Dakota (10:00 a.m.) and the host RedHawks (4:45 p.m.). Robert Morris will then finish the weekend with a pair of back-to-back games Sunday as it faces Oakland (9:00 a.m.) and has a rematch with the Titans (11:15 a.m.).
Robert Morris is still in line to play five games in this event as originally planned although the Colonials will no longer face Dayton, who was on their initial schedule for the weekend.
