RMU Hits the Road for Rose Hill Classic

The Colonials kick off a 14-game road swing with trip to New York

Moon Township, Pa. The Robert Morris University volleyball team enjoyed a home court advantage for its first four matches of the season, but it's time to hit the road as the Colonials travel to Bronx, N.Y., for the Rose Hill Classic hosted by Fordham University on Sept. 4-5 in Rose Hill Gym. Participants include Fordham, Georgetown University and Niagara University.

RMU (2-2) dropped a close 3-1 decision to familiar foe Duquesne University on Tuesday evening. Junior Arden Fisher, MVP of the 2015 Robert Morris Invitational, carried over her dominance from the season-opening tournament into Tuesday night's match, as she posted her third consecutive double-double and led the Colonials in kills (16) and digs (17). She averages 4.31 kills per set. Senior Kristin Thompson returned to action after sitting out the final match of the RMU tournament and contributed nine kills at an outstanding .600 clip (9-for-15) and added two blocks.
