Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University volleyball team looks to avenge early season losses to two Northeast Conference opponents from New England, when the Colonials face Central Connecticut State on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. and Bryant on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m.
 
RMU (10-13, 4-3) is coming off a 3-0 sweep of Saint Francis U, which capped a four-game home stand for the Colonials, during which the squad went 3-1.
 
Earlier this year, Robert Morris fell to CCSU, 3-2, and lost a 3-1 decision to Bryant in back-to-back matches at the Sewall Center.

The Colonials collected six first-place votes to earn the top spot in the NEC Preseason Coaches' Poll. RMU qualified for its 17th consecutive NEC Tournament last season, extending the conference's longest active streak. In each of those 17 seasons, the Colonials have posted a winning record in league competition, which stands as the longest such streak of any NEC member, past or present.

Senior Arden Fisher has posted a double-double in 16 of 22 matches played this season and has recorded double-digit digs in all but two matches on the year. Her streak of 11 matches with a double-double to start a season marks the longest season-opening streak in Robert Morris history dating back to 2003. She leads the Colonials in kills (261) and digs (430).
 
Success Under Starr
RMU's win over St. Francis Brooklyn marked head coach Dale Starr's 100th victory as head coach of the Robert Morris volleyball program. He is now two victories shy of his 200^th career win at the Division I level.
 
A Historic Run
Robert Morris qualified for its 17th consecutive NEC Tournament last year, extending the conference's longest active streak. In the last 17 seasons, the Colonials have posted a winning record in league play; the longest such streak of any NEC member, past or present.
