Winter Fondi made eight saves to record his first career shutout and backstop the
Robert Morris University men's soccer team to a 1-0 win at St. Bonaventure University Sunday afternoon. The Colonials move to 1-3 on the year while the Bonnies remain winless at 0-4-1.
The game's lone goal came courtesy of a St. Bonaventure miscue that ended in an own goal in the 54th minute of action.
Robert Morris outplayed St. Bonaventure in the final 45 minutes despite the shot total going in favor of the Bonnies, 16-13. The Colonials earned five corner kicks in the second half and finished with a 9-4 edge for the game.
Luke Iacobellis had nine saves for the Bonnies.
Robert Morris returns to the pitch Tuesday, Sept. 13, when Pitt visits North Athletic Complex for a 4:00 p.m. match.
