NOTES: Marshall @ Robert Morris (9.3.17)

Musket Shots
> Robert Morris fell to 0-3-0 on the early season with a heartbreaking 4-3 overtime defeat at Canisius this past Thursday
> The Colonials' offensive attack has clicked in the early going, thanks to the senior trio of Jake Cooper, Keane McIvor, and Bayley Winkel … The three have had a hand in all six RMU goals this season, with Winkel scoring three of them
> Senior midfielder Corey McCurdy and sophomore midfielder Christian Coridon each scored their first career goals in the loss to the Golden Griffins
> The Colonials welcome back five of their top six scorers from a season ago, including All-NEC Second Team selection Keane McIvor, who paced the team in assists (5) and points (9) … Also back is senior forward Rafael Bruzual, who scored two of his team-high three goals against Cleveland State last season
> Senior goalkeeper Winter Fondi returns to RMU after posting three shutouts in 16 starts last season, finishing with a 1.61 goals against average and .783 save percentage

History vs. Marshall

Last Meeting: 9/11/15 at Marshall (L, 1-3)
First Meeting: 9/22/91 vs. Marshall (T, 1-1)

> Once a regular fixture on RMU's non-conference schedule, this will be only the second time the Colonials have faced Marshall since the 2003 season
> RMU rattled off four consecutive victories against the Thundering Herd from 1992-99

Scouting Marshall
> Marshall is 2-1-0 to begin 2017, picking up victories over Duquesne (3-0) and UNC Asheville (3-1), with a 1-0 defeat to Evansville sandwiched in between
> The Thundering Herd went 6-11-1 last season, failing to record a victory over their final six fixtures
> Freshman midfielder Lewis Knight has adjusted to the collegiate game well with a team-high four goals and nine points … Junior Ben Martinez and senior Nate Himes have posted identical .800 save percentages over Marshall's three matches; Martinez owns a 0.50 goals against average through two starts, while Himes gave up one goal against UNC Asheville

Colonial Trends
> Bayley Winkel joins Said Ali (2002), Neco Brett (2015), and Jacek Przednowek (2006-07) as the only players in program history to register at least seven points through RMU's opening three matches in the 21st century
> Winter Fondi has started between the sticks for RMU in its last 18 matches
> Kai Olguin has been as reliable as they come in the Colonial midfield, going the distance in 24 of his last 26 appearances over the last three seasons
