#2 North Dakota State Thunders Past Colonials

Fargo, N.D. – The second-ranked North Dakota State Bison took advantage of early Robert Morris University turnovers en route to a 56-0 win over the Colonials at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome Saturday afternoon. RMU slips to 2-2 on the year while the Bison remain unbeaten at 3-0.

Robert Morris turned the ball over on three consecutive possessions in the first quarter and the second-ranked Bison made them pay all three times. Lance Dunn plunged in from five yards, Tre Dempsey returned an interception 23-yards to paydirt, and Bruce Anderson pushed the margin to 28-0 when he broke through from a yard out. Dunn's third rushing score of the game made it 35-0 after the first quarter.

RJ Urzendowski capped a 13-play, 72-yard drive that took 8:18 when he hauled in a 14-yard pass from Easton Stick. Dunn's fourth touchdown score of the afternoon was a 10-yard reception and gave NDSU a 49-0 lead at halftime. Cole Davis added a 17-yard third quarter run to cap the scoring, 56-0

Dunn scored on all four of his touches, rushing three times for 111 yards. Easton Stick was 11-of-15 passing for 132 yards and a pair of scores.

Adam Wollet led the RMU defense with 11 tackles, the third time this season that he has reached double-digits in stops. Gerald Ferguson added nine stops and a sack for a Colonials defense that registered four sacks on the day. Cole Blake rushed 13 times for 50 yards.

Robert Morris is off next week before traveling to Johnson City, Tenn., to take on East Tennessee State in a 3:30 p.m. game Saturday, Oct. 7.
